Professor Neil S. Beattie Public Lecture

ReNU Chair, Professor Neil S. Beattie gave a public lecture: Tackling carbon dioxide emissions with physics, innovation and leadership on Wednesday 26 January. In this stimulating lecture, Neil described how Northumbria research and innovation is offering a new contribution to reducing carbon dioxide emissions with aesthetically integrated solar cells.

Neil put this research in the context of a thriving ecosystem of activity in science, engineering and technology in the North East of England which, together with colleagues, Professor Beattie and his team have created over the last decade. During the lecture he also presented reflections on his experience of leadership to offer strategies for achieving net-zero emissions. Please check the full recording of the lecture here.
